Patricia and Thomas, both in their active sixties, have lived for thirty years in
their nearly 100 year old Brooklyn Brownstone and raised 3 children (now all
adults). Their home is situated in a pleasant tree lined block with other
brownstones, and is just minutes away from the Brooklyn Museum, the Brooklyn
Botanic Gardens, and Brooklyn's Prospect park. Nearby subways (5 minute walk)
make downtown Manhattan reachable in 15-20 minutes. Add another 10-15 minutes
for midtown Manhattan. Patricia, a midwife, enjoys gardening, cooking,
photography, architecture and shopping in the nearby farmer's market. Tom works
in his home office writing fiction and non-fiction. His interests include
automobiles, modern fiction, philosophy, sculpture, blacksmith & forge work,
and he enjoys listening to music, especially jazz and contemporary classical
music. In addition to being a writer, builder, and blacksmith, Tom has interests
in and knowledge of 19th century Danish philosophers and 20th century Baltic,
Russian, and East European composers. His charming wife Patricia, in addition to
being a practicing midwife, is a photographer, architectural critic, enjoys
playing the piano, bakes bread, and enjoys reading. Both Tom and Patricia use their
bicycles for errands; Patricia bikes back & forth to work at a local
hospital.
