Peggy and Gary, an active couple in their 40's, and their two daughters - Rebecca, age 10 and
Olivia, age 5, - enjoy the spaciousness of their turn-of-the-century Victorian residence on a quiet,
tree-lined street. Peggy, an interior designer/decorator, works out of her home office. Gary owns
and operates a Pepsi Cola distributing company. The gracious rooms of the house reflect the
couple's intense interest in antiques and flea-market shopping. The young Olivia explores the
world in general. Rebecca, also with intense curiosity, follows a special interest in art and is an avid
sportsperson, with swimming being one of her favorite pursuits. Their home is truly one "alive
with the sound of music." With access to their large collection of CD's, you may easily find yourself
relaxing in the living room, listening to almost any genre of music you enjoy or would like to
investigate.
The third floor (a gentle 2 flights up from the main floor), offers two lovely rooms with a newly
renovated private bath. In one room you find a comfortable queen-size bed; in the other room, a
futon (that opens to a full-size bed), a television, an air conditioner, and a small refrigerator.
Breakfast and family dinners (with evening conversations and family socializing) are taken, as your
mutual schedules allow, on the first floor. And, you have convenient access to the household's
washer and dryer. Tobacco smoking is permitted outside, on the porch. Small neighborhood shops-
including pharmacies, banks with 24-hour ATM's, a post office - and subway access are all less than
a 5-minute walk from the house. It is normally a 30-minute ride to lower Manhattan.
